Meet Meegan Henry
In the spirit of addressing the needs in our relationships, family dynamics, personal finances, and community, our team at ATL4Haiti believe that our mission keenly aligns with that of Lakol Magazine's overall targeted interest, audience, and platform. And we, too, want to do our part in educating the city of Atlanta on how to give back to Haiti!
ATL4Haiti serves as an Atlanta - based conduit for inventive, cultural, spiritual, and empowering Haiti outreach initiatives. It is no secret that huge parts of Haiti lack clean, healthy, and safe living conditions. Instead of wasting time over why these conditions exists, the ATL4Haiti team seeks to take action by educating the city of Atlanta on ways in which we can readily and easily impact lives in need.
This mission was founded by an intelligent, outspoken and powerful black woman, Meagan Henry. A couple years ago, Meagan Henry took an impromptu trip to Haiti to volunteer in the local villages. During her stay, she took immediate inventory of the basic needs of the communities, including that of food, clean water, personal-hygiene care, health care and education. Additionally, Henry was taken aback by the undeniable resilience embedded in our people, as she watched them thrive and operate daily on the bare minimum.
Upon returning to Atlanta, Henry instantly assembled a team of extraordinary women and began organizing donation drives for items to take back to Haiti. Ten outreaches later ATL4Haiti is still moving, serving, educating, and giving back as a collective under the leadership of Meagan Henry.
Meagan Henry and ATL4Haiti ambitiously seeks to educate the city of Atlanta on our past, current, and future initiatives as we continue to unite the lives, cultures, and people of both Haiti and Atlanta, one change at a time.
